Fat to Fit

Back in November 2014, four brave women made the decision to take part in a filmed weight loss programme, which span over six months. The challenge was to exchange their former habitual lifestyles, for a more healthier and fitter outlook. Showing and proving to the community that healthy living, no matter what obstacles faced, can be achieved. The aim was to lose 20kg (44lbs/3.15 stone) within the given set time frame.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest misconceptions many believe is that in order to lose the weight, you must exercise everyday and have a very restricted/ limited diet. At FitBody Result, we believe that your training and nutrition regime must be realistic, achievable and long term. This is not about a quick fix but more about acquiring a permanent lifestyle change.

Throughout the six months, the four ladies faced several different obstacles, some of which any other ordinary person could also come across. This made it easier for the viewers watching, to connect with them on a much more personal note, as they could witness and experience how the subjects encountered unforeseen circumstances, and what is more importantly, how they dealt with them.

Michelle, suffered an angina attack; Heidi had a motorbike accident tearing her meniscus; Lianne, a very picky eater who had a very limited unhealthy diet and Analise who was on medication for type 2 diabetes.

As the months elapsed and progress became much more visible, the physical changes were beginning to form at a much faster rate. The ladies were becoming much more confidant, stronger and healthier. Subsequently, this potentially prevented Michelle from having more serious complications from her angina attack.

A change in diet and an implementation of a more physical active lifestyle is a notion that is required from persons wanting to achieve their desired goal. It is crucial they adapt, overcome and conquer all of their daily temptations.

When you embark on any weight loss journey, you are always met with lows and struggles such as life events, work, family commitments, illness, parties. These are all common factors that become hurdles we need to overcome, when attempting to battle our ever-expanding waist lines.

What is most rewarding is that through all the pain, aches, sweat, sacrifices and even tears, all four women achieved their greatly deserved success. In a packed venue, at which family and friends were invited to attend, they all eagerly awaited each epic moment, which was the much-anticipated reveal for each individual. They had the opportunity to appear on stage strutting their new look, and flaunted their proud reformed selves, proving that weight loss can be achieved in a safe and realistic manner with no fads… the FitBody Result way!
