Last year a group of friends and I decided to put our names down to participate in a 200km bicycle race across the Pyrenees. I did this race in 2006 when I was 35 so I felt that it would be a good achievement to do it again after 10 years.
To be able to compensate for the years that have gone by I decided that I would lose 10 plus kilos of body weight which would bring my weight down to the 80s, something which I've never seen since I can remember weighing myself!
At first I wasn't sure how I was going to achieve this goal but then I heard about Danny through a couple of friends and work colleagues. When I first spoke to Danny about my plans and goal he believed that it was a very realistic target and a great idea - the motivation started there and then!
From day one Danny's flexible but relentless approach to diet and exercise has only helped to fuel my motivation to reach my goal. Not only have I reach my target within the three months that I had set myself but I have also seen a huge improvement in my cycling performance. After finishing with Danny I’ve been able to maintain the weight loss by myself, which was always a big concern for me. I’ve found that it truly is a lifestyle and mental change one which I am very happy to have learnt and stuck to.
